BREAKING NEWS: The teacher is being deported from Sudan, without the lashes. They gave her 15 days (which she already served) and deportation. I think EVERY western teacher and laborer should leave and let them all rot in their ignorant "bliss".

The Presbyterian chuch I visited was a little too "stuffy" (but that was years ago). I understand what you mean about the Baptists....(yikes). Recently I've attended, with a friend, a Nazarene Church.... very educational, down to earth, the pastors got a good sense of humor yet very interesting to listen to. The music is great, a small orchestra plays contemporary music almost every week. When you leave, you feel uplifted and not talked down to. You feel like you've connected to the Creator and you've recharged your batteries to "fight the good fight" for the upcoming week. Bottomline.... go where you feel comfortable and where you're uplighted.

I have no dog in this fight, HOWEVER, I've been to many LDS meetings and I've never heard them discuss Hellfire and damnation. In fact, I've asked my lds friends and they said they don't believe in hell as a literal place, rather a state of being seperated from God. my 2 cents.... let the games continue.......

Somehow they segued the conversation to their favorite scripture,
two things... I've never been a JW; and JWs are in my neighborhood almost every three months. Whenever they knock at my door and I enter into a friendly conversation, I always ask the "hard" questions and then I ALWAYS get the segue to a favorite scripture ... never will they completely answer my questions, and more times than not, they will say "that's an interesting question, we'll find out the answer and get back to you " .... I'm still waiting.

WELCOME !! pick your poison>>>>
I read something a few years ago that stated "It's never too late to start being the person you intend to become" ... I've found that to be true. We're all on a "journey"... might as well go for it.
I look forward to your posts.

I heard that on the radio this morning. I'm for legal immigration and against illegal immigration - however, in cases like this there should be a "Good Samaritin" reward and let the guy file papers to put him on the fast track to legally enter the country.... he's a good man, one this country can use more of.

A-man:
Sounds like your experience is very limited.....in other words, your opinions are based on limited knowledge on what's out there and what other options (better?) there might be. Your 'gospel' doesn't sound like the Gospel that Christ taught, so for us who've been down life's road a little longer, your opinions don't ring "true". However, WELCOME to the

A Mormon President?
by a Christian inmitt romney is running for president of the united states.
i see one big problem with electing a mormon as president.
doing so will give much more respectability to the mormon church.

So you need a supreme administrator, someone who can organise your government
YES ! .. that is what the voters SHOULD be focusing on, instead of the media "circus" on petty issues. There are a few candidates with the experience to fit the bill (from both parties). The voters should be looking at those people and asking the questions pertaining to the real issues. Another point... the voters shouldn't vote for the party - what a waste of time - vote for the candidate who will run the government for the PEOPLE and not the illusion of working for the people with idle words.
